Society of American Florists Convention 2014 at Marco Island, Florida

I spent my last summer week-get-away with business trip to Florida. Marco Island in Florida was surreal beautiful but I have to admit that I spent most of my time in the hotel seminar rooms. I was surely overwhelmed by the knowledge and experience that my fellow industry leaders and friends had to share with me through endless seminars and workshops. However, I enjoyed so much meeting such inspirational and encouraging people, good people down there. Here's one, Shirley Lyons AAF, PFCI, president of SAF. Her TED speech about her own business idea and experience was so clever and inspiring. I want to grow up like her!

Also I had a chance to catch up with my old AIFD induction buddy, Yolanda Guz, AIFD. We did Sylvia Cup together!

Oh, did I mention Sylvia Cup? Sylvia Cup is a national level design competition, legendary one and I was in it! Oh, oh, did I mention that I won the 2nd runner up for overall score? I also got 1st place for my flower jewel that I show in this picture. It was 70s theme, Studio 54! This arm bracelet was meant for a dancing queen!

My roomies and AIFD buddies parting hard at the last night Gala.

I caught up with my dear mentors as well, like Leanne Kesler, AIFD PFCI, and made some new friends Greg Lum, AIFD EMC, Katherine Zhang, AIFD.

Derek Woodruff, AIFD CF CFD PFCI won his 1st runner up at Sylvia Cup! Very proud of him here.

This is my moment of life!

I am so grateful that I had this chance to connect with this wonderful group of people and learn from their wisdom and knowledge. It surely made me more humble. Thank you SAF and PFCI!
