Flowers Untamed

It's been blessed 4 years since David Shover and I started our adventure as Washington Flower School -well yes, it started as Shover School of Floral Design. We've been growing and growing and so many wonderful ladies and gentlemen went through our workshops and classes and set their feet in wonderful world of floral design. This past weekend was a memorable moment for our school. We were invited to Virginia Professional Florist Association's annual convention at Charlottesville, VA to decorate the President's dinner. We were honored to created centerpieces in front of these talented and experienced floral designers in Virginia, if not nervous. We came up with these designs inspired by "Untamed" theme of the convention. Jeanne picked the drift woods as her main structure to work around and chose orange and green colors to highlight the architectural styles of the designs.

Since we worked with unique shapes of the drift woods, we all made different designs for each table. Terry, Annahit, Kate, Antoinette, and Jeanne all worked individually on the designs.

Here's a up-close picture to see the details. We also incorporated decorative wires as well to give a twisted look. And you can see all kinds of foliage manipulation tricks on each design.

We all truly enjoyed creating this look together!
