red rose and white daisy make-over

So, you have couple of red roses and couple of white daises in your hand. What can you do with them to make a nice presentable arrnagement for a gift maybe? Well, here's what I come up this past Friday. I love red roses, I love how they overwrap their petal after petal, the crise between them, the vivid red color that's talking to me directly to my heart. And they are available throughout the year from anywhere!
So, I took this 5.5" wood-chipped fisherman's basket and lined it with plastic so that it is water-tight. The mechanic inside is half block of soaked floral foam. I used basic baker fern and salal leaves foliage for my base. I started my design by inserting my two red roses in the middle leaning forward to you in different level. I took 3-4 red carnations and couple of stems of mini red carnations to carry the red rose look through the design and actually used them as structure the design. Then I took couple of stems of white daises and spread them throughout but deeper then the others, so that they create depth. I added few groups of "streetraria"(street- picked-grass) to give light movement and seasonal feel to the design. Fished with simple ribbon.
For the material and the time that I used, I think it's pretty nicely done and presentable. What do you think?
Sounds like "how to make a stone soup"? I know I know, I added few things but red rose and white daisy, I should admit. But still it's pretty simple material and neat design, don't you agree?
